A Painting Created Especially for Your Home

I am also a qualified Interior Designer and I myself love to have things that all tie in with colours, styles and shapes in my own home, and I like to keep myself informed of the current trends in Interior Design. I also collect works of art from artists, sculptors and photographers and buy things that I fall in love with to fill a special place in my own home.

One thing I find very rewarding, and really enjoy the process of, is creating paintings especially for a client's personal space. This is a very unique idea and clients are delighted to end up with a very personal and original painting which was designed especially for the room in which it is displayed in their own home. The service I offer would enable you to give me details of your interior space (lounge, bedroom, dining room, bathroom, office or wherever you wish) including sizes and colours of walls, flooring details and furniture. Previous clients have emailed me photographs of their rooms and features (e.g. fireplace), furniture, wallpaper & fabrics (e.g. Curtains) within and this has helped enormously.

Of course, depending on where you live, it may be possible for me to do a home visit to discuss with you in person your own ideas, and take photos to help me back in the studio. Samples of fabrics and wallpaper are also always helpful in selecting the right colours to match up with your own. We all know that there are for example many different "reds" and I believe that getting the right matches are key to a successful commission.

Many things are taken into consideration; - Colours (shades & tones) - Shapes - Patterns - Sizes (wall space) - Background (wall colouring & texture) - Fabrics - Textures - Style - Personal Taste (Client)

Not only would I rely on email with photographs, I would also like to have conversations with you to be sure I am on the right track in creating your own personal work of art. You might have already seen amongst my gallery pages a particular painting style you like, or you may wish to start from scratch and incorporate some of your own ideas and possibly something that is symbolic of your own life/family. All of this can be discussed and it could be that I start with some small sketches of ideas before the final piece is created. I like to stay in touch throughout the process to be sure that we are "singing from the same hymn sheet", and would email you photos and inform you of progress. For a service such as this the price is very much dependant on the size and content of the final piece, with a minimum price of £195. However once I have discussed your requirements then I can give you an accurate quotation. To commence the work I would require a 20% non-refundable deposit and balance of the payment would be due upon completion of the work of art. Any visits to your property (visits are dependant upon your location) and photos taken by myself will be inclusive in the price of the service.
